I might have represented the Qs on the river in case I was fearing a slow played set from him. You went the whole hand looking like you had the goods anyway. But then maybe I wouldn't. Would depend on the reads I guess.

But I was wondering your opinion on what was going on here. What do you suppose Canucktr was playing? High pocket pair?

Just interested in your whole train of thought as this hand played out, could you write what you were thinking on each street? I hate these kind of hands with AJ and some action from others.

I like the check behind on the river for precisely the reason that you might be up against a slowplayed set. Most people won't put you on having made a full house.

I like the play in general, although I would be wary of Canucktr's minraise on the flop. I've been burned too many times in a kicker battle against the preflop raiser.

This looks like a line I would take. No mistakes as far as I can see.

My thought process was that I had TPGK on a rather loosy table with a minraised pot..

So likely callers would include A/strong, A/weak, flush draws and sets. A Q/x may even test the waters.

I bet the pot which narrowed it to two with a raise. I was worried about
the set so when the 9c showed I bet about 1/4 of the pot, figuring I'd get raised by a set and called by a draw. The bet was marginally good for a flush draw but a set would jump all over it to push on the flush.

The fold from Canucktr was probably a Q/X or A/weak, maybe suited. His raise looked like he was testing my hand to make sure I wasn't stealing it. My table image was rather aggressive as I was grabbing the blinds about once every two orbits but otherwise playing tight.

The check behind is due to the Q and also any slowplayed sets or A/strong hands. I feel AJ is a rather underpowered hand so I'll play it for pair value rather gingerly.
