My thinking at the end was that he was playing for the straight, perhaps playing Ax hearts with his passive calls. With the third heart on the river I had him seeing me as aggressive in the hand and checking to cr me, thus my check on the end rather than bet for value.

Was this the right play, or would others have value bet at the end. If you'd have value-bet, what would you do with a cr?

With no heart on the end, this isn't a question but with three hearts I'm not sure which way to go.

Its tough to say, but I think Id be comfortable value betting here, AXh is about all we are worried about and I dont think somebody is going to limp that preflop and then not lead on the flop when they hit unless they are very very passive.

I will raise this preflop to around 4xBB, I dont really like the limp. Postflop though seems fine, I can understand checking behind that river, but I think you are missing out on some value there by not better.

You'd raise TT utg?

I may do it around 10% of the time but not a huge fan of raising that too much in really early position.

My thoughts on stuff

I'd raise TT utg(utg+1 in this post) appx 99% of the time... esspecially after a limper.

Id raise 22 UTG, Im tight in EP and when I play a hand I typically come in for a raise. Sometimes I mix it up and limp low PPs and raise small SCs, but TT is something Im almost always raising.

Me too. I'm a fan of raising most any PP from early position as it performs two functions. 1) Creates a pot for you to play for if you hit your set, and 2) more importantly, helps disguise your hand. There's nothing more transparent than the early limp/call late raiser routine. Once you're aware of it, it's pretty easy to tell why the guy in EP is quickly smooth calling your cbets.

TT is a no-brainer raise, and usually a reraise unless I'm in the blinds.

As for the hand, I value bet the river, like $5 and fold to a push.
