VCPoker 50 NL. Villain has full stack and Hero has him covered. Hero is in SB with . Villain limps UTG, several other limpers, Hero completes. Pot=$2.5

Flop= Hero bets $2. Villain calls. Everyone else folds. Pot=$6.5

Turn= Hero checks. Villain bets $2. Hero calls. Pot=$10.5

River= Hero checks. Villain bets $6. Hero calls.

Yea or nay?

Is the reasoning for not leading the turn that pretty much only the flush will call/raise, while checking gives opp the chance to bet the J or bluff?

Should we be concerned about giving him the chance to check behind with three spades already on the board?

Just askin.

Yeah, he kind of instacalled my flop bet--I just got that flushy feeling. Like you said, I figured going into passive call-down mode would give the J or smaller trips a chance to put more $ in the pot and if another club hit, it wasn't going to be hard to get away from the hand.

Unraised pot, bad turn, I don't want to play a big pot here either.

Flop;I like a lead out or a CR.

Turn:I bet out again;call a decent reraise.

River:Either check call a decent bet when you miss filling up;or block bet and fold to a reraise.

It's either this or leading out weakish. Depends on the guy - how likely I think he might try a bluff etc. Definately keep the pot small, this turn sucks. But I think most of the time I lead out, but not big.
