A $3 raise UTG screams huge hand even with my generally loose image, calling the BB almost always generates a raise if done from in early pos.

Then you can re-raise the raise to isolate and probably if in early pos. the original raise had been called by at least one player.

Is this sound thinking?

thanks in advance.

What about 25NL Trip?

Same stategy, because coming out for 1$ from UTG seems to set off a warning bell, but when you limp usually it just causes the whole table to limp, therefore, turning the hand into trash.

Thoughts? Maybe 50/50 each one?
Currently Playing 8 Tables of 25NL 10-Max.
Or
2 Tables of 100NL 10-Max

Current Bankroll: $625

Goal: To stop pulling $$$ out of my bankroll and build it up to 1k.

I play well enough post-flop that I'd rather see a flop for the min than take down the blinds.

Fnord would you say it's worh the risk of getting the Aces or king cracked occasionally to play them slow and let someone make some kind of a hand they can't get away from?

I have always wondered which would pay better in the long run because usually I only win a small pot with my big pairs.

Game texture matters more. In a tight or crazy game I'm more inclined to limp.
