HJ could easily ATd, it's hard to put him on one hand that HJ has that doesn't have you beat at this point besides two diamonds (plausible). So i'd check/call the turn.

dont bet if you cant stand being raised off your hand, unless youll get donk-raised and have odds to boat up (i.e miniraised)

It went allin on the turn.
I guess be thankful he didn't have a full stack.
I would like to check this turn most of the time though... the only problem I see with that though is HJ has 1/3 of his stack in by the turn... if he bets anything are you folding? Once the river hits and we don't improve are we folding to the ~$20 he has left in a ~$90 pot.. (assuming he bets the turn).
If we check and he shoves the turn are we folding?

Those bets happened on the turn so I still had 10 outs to beat him. Yeah, I probably should have let it go on the turn.
If I check the turn and HJ pushes, I fold I guess. Sucks to be outdrawn after putting in so much though.

Should have opted to get to those outs cheaply and check behind though because you know he has a ten and you know there is no way you can get him to fold now.

betting will only scare away worse hands and build a pot for better hands. But checking can induce bluffs and I am just simply not folding unless they guy gives an insane price and practically tables the T
