River lines:

First hand fine. wp. Maybe if you minbet he pushes, but probably not

Second hand isn't bad, but you might have gotten a call with 1/2 or 1/3 pot.

Neither of these are really overbets, they are value bets. Overbets are more than pot.

In both hands you are the preflop raises and you just check/call the flop. If you want to build the pot you must bet/raise the flop. Plus, if in either case the villian hit a better hand, he would have gotten great odds to do so.

Hand 1: I'd reraise the flop to 6 and try to get as much in on the turn as possible. As played, a min-raise on river might do it.

Hand 2: You tossed in a 2nd raise preflop that's usually QQ+/AK. That must warrant a c-bet in all cases especially when you actually have something. You could have tried $5-$7 flop, check turn (feigning a missed AK, and raising) and then a 2/3 pot bet on river.

hand 1: i like the line. villain knew he was beat and got the hell out of dodge. Maybe a min-raise works here on the river, but i think he folds either way.

hand 2: i think a bet in the $6-8 range gets called here.

QFT, that makes it so you don't have to overbet the river.
