MP1 is 43/9 over a small sample, CO is 33/6 and a fish. There's been lots of 1BB preflop raising going on (which I'm seeing a lot of at the Party Monster tables) so I'm pretty sure MP1 has AK/overpair when he pops it to 4X. What's your line?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

CO ($42.79)
Button ($296.20)
SB ($77.14)
Hero ($192.85)
UTG ($179.15)
MP1 ($100.65)
MP2 ($75.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9, T. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
1 fold, MP1 raises to $4, 1 fold, CO calls $4, 2 folds, Hero calls $3.

Flop: ($12.50) 3, 8, J (3 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $7, CO calls $7, Hero ???

Interesting hand.

Option 1: Push -- we are probably a favorite. will MP1 play for stacks here??

Option 2: Raise -- and call a push.

Option 3: Call -- and see what the turn brings.

(I would have led the flop for $9)

I probably would raise to $20. Take control of the action.

Good, I'm on the right page...

Flop: ($12.50) 3, 8, J (3 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $7, CO calls $7, Hero raises to $21, MP1 calls $89.65 (All-In), CO calls $31.79 (All-In), Hero calls $75.65.

This is why I'm check/calling here in a fishy action game.

Getting 32-55% equity in a three way ai is a great result.

Check stack sizes, a lot of the money went in heads-up. Looks like most of it went in vs a big pair.

Board: Tc 8d 3d
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 48.8384 % 48.84% 00.00% { Td9d }
Hand 2: 51.1616 % 51.16% 00.00% { JJ+ }

I used to play hands like this all the time when I played in the super-fishy BoDog games. I've since wised up a bit and realized that they play so aweful on late streets and pay-off so much that flipping coins w/ over-lay doesn't get maximum value and causes lots of swings.

Question is are you better off putting your Sklansky bucks in the bank on the flop or will your terrible opponents give you far more value on the turn + river?

Also, over half of the money behind went in heads-up.

If we just call here and the turn's a brick, we're check/calling again, right? Are we folding to a push?

It depends. It should be a very straight forward decision.

I'm thinking that I'd have a hard time calling anything over a PSB if I miss on the turn, but that doesn't mean making my decisions easier is a good reason for getting it all-in on the flop either. I have to chew on this one for a while.

i think a big raise is the best standard play. With reads you can extract much more ev from just calling.
