Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

saw flop|saw showdown

MP1 ($22)
MP2 ($9.55)
CO ($86.73)
Button ($35.04)
SB ($7.15)
BB ($4.75)
Hero ($31.90)
UTG+1 ($13.65)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with T, T. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
Hero calls $0.25, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.25, 1 fold, CO raises to $1, Button calls $1, 2 folds, Hero raises to $4, MP1 folds, CO folds, Button folds.

Final Pot: $6.60

No showdown. Hero wins $6.60.

I was pretty proud for about a second when I ran this line...
Then I thought about what would happen if they called. I'm in c-bet hell when the pot is too big and I wont have time to find out if they hit a set, an overcard hit a pair, they've got air, or I was up against an overpair all along. I think I CR-AI any good flop, but I'd rather just avoid that situation.

There has to be a better way. Where do we go with this?

I actually like this play, but you got to make the c-bet on any flop I think. The button calling may have slowed down my reraise. I am looking forward to see what other think.

There is a good thread in the NL strategies section called "reraising with AK" by warpe which covers some of this.

Dev, I like this play as well.

I've even does this with AKo a couple of times. Instead of just raising and getting called with hands that can crush me with the right flop--- I limp then RR with AK and even TT.. to get the money I'm most likely ahead.

That's something I've leared with a hand like AKo.
Get the $ in preflop, and it's a GREAT hand when you hit an A or K.

I think it's pretty hip...looks like a preflop slowplay of an overpair. If you get called then you have to c-bet on the flop if you miss though...
