So I decide I need to play it more aggressively preflop to protect my hand, as this is the second time recently I've lost with AA to a flush draw, still betting the flop hard, in an NL ring game. I doubt he could call with KT if I had raised it to 100 instead, and I don't want 4 callers anyway.

Don't think I can go wrong with that flop! Calling with 77 though, geez. Bet2win probably had a higher pocket pair than that. I know my small bet, small bet, all in at the river obviously looks like slowplaying, but I don't see how else I could've played it with that flop, since they couldn't have an ace. I'm happily surprised I got as much action as I did.

huh talk about a wierd coincidence in this hand that has nothing to do with poker. Dont know if any of you are ex gamers or whatnot but i was pretty big starcraft/broodwar and to some extent warcraft3 addict back in the day. Tillerman, one of the top players of the game has seemingly moved into poker and plays on stars. even won himself an entry into this years wsop. heh just an interesting side note

I've seen him on the NL tables a lot. He's a complete, 100% rock. I basically get out of the way of him whenever he raises.

Alot of old school MTG, CS, Starcraft/Warcraft, ect. types are coming over to poker. A good strategist, at any game, can pick up poker and do well with it. David Williams is a good example.
Is that guy still part of the forum??
