Ordinarily, chasers are like ATMs... but after twice having to lay down sets to ugly boards, this comes along...

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

UTG ($14.75)
Hero ($114.95)
MP1 ($48.25)
MP2 ($64.25)
MP3 ($47.90)
CO ($50)
Button ($64.50)
SB ($178.71)
BB ($49.50)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with K, K. CO posts a blind of $0.50. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
1 fold, Hero raises to $2, 2 folds, MP3 calls $2, CO (poster) calls $1.50, 3 folds.

Flop: ($6.75) J, K, 3 (3 players)
Hero bets $4, MP3 calls $4, CO folds.

Turn: ($14.75) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $8, MP3 calls $8.

River: ($30.75) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $10, MP3 raises to $25, Hero calls $15.

Final Pot: $80.75

I played it as I do most times I raise preflop - somewhere around a 2/3s pot bet - I have a strong hand, but I want to make the draws pay. On the turn, it was much of the same - keep the draws out.

Should I have check/folded the river? Called a reasonable bet?

I play it the same. Checking the river when the scare card hits is often just begging for a push bluff from the guy holding KQ or AK. If you notice an opp chasing outside his odds regularly, you can usually pound on them more on drawing boards and know they will call anyway. Some people will call 1.5 times the pot sized bets with big flush draws who have no idea what pot odds are or how they work.

Yeah, that's what I figured too... I don't like the idea of checking that river.

Is the end a crying call, or do I let the pot go? I don't know if I'm ahead enough of the time to make this a +EV move. Especially since he raised me an amount that left like $5 in his stack.

He did hit his flush with AdQd... later on we were talking and he said something like "Yeah man, people have been drawing out on me a lot lately. I just prayed that it was my turn this time". Well apparently your god was in his or her office last night.
