Is a $1 re-raise common at these stakes?

Definite fold with that hand without some kind of huge read. People don't open raise that big even at the $10 NL tables.

jackvance is an unknown quantity at this point
Where you went wrong.. think it was you pushing all-in with KQ. With these kinds of high (re)raises preflop AJ really is one of the BEST things you can expect him to have (in your favor that is), and it still has your KQ beat with 60%-40%. The more likely range of AA/KK/QQ/AK has you beat even worse.. half of them you have less than 10% to win..

You straight out gambled. Your choice.

But a reraise to a ridiculous amount like this at this level is usually a hand that doesn't want to be played...often 33-66.

Greedo017 is on a distinguished road
two unpaired cards vs two unpaired cards, when you're not dominated, does give you about a 30% chance to win. but even if you knew you weren't dominated, why would you want to bet a dollar with a 30% chance to win it back?
i betcha that i got something you ain't got, that's called courage, it don't come from no liquor bottle, it ain't scotch
