2 folds, Hero raises to $4, 1 fold, MP3 calls $4, 2 folds, SB calls $3.50, 1 fold.

SB bets $8, Hero raises to $24, MP3 folds, SB calls $16.

Turn: ($61) K (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $44, SB calls $44.

Im want to get some value on my aces but is the turn a good place for a check behind??

I'm divided. Smells like a set or overpair (connected diamonds unlikely from pre-flop - but could be). QQ/KK likely 3-bet pre, discount. JJ? I don't think villain plays a non-nut flush draw like this. Villain doesn't believe you have a flush, and quite likely expects an overpair (don't think you re-raiseAK here very often). But still wants to party = unlikely to be TT. So, if you say flop range is JJ/99/55/33/+ a trace of flush/TT/88 then you're mostly behind. You bought the free turn. Take it.

I like a check on the turn followed by a call on the river. If villain checks river then I'll probably bet.

On the turn there aren't many hands that have outs, but if we're behind then we have quite a few outs. The turn pot is $61 and there's only $72 behind, so we're not missing out on much value if we check behind the turn and villain has something like A K .
