BET BET BET!!! It's a multiway pot, so you probably will get paid off. Plus you want to "protect" your hand from another diamond, which will surely kill your action.

Bet 3/4 pot - full pot on the flop. Bet the turn. Just get the money in.

I gotcha, now what about slowplaying here? why is that the wrong move except for the rare chance he flops a boat

 But I know what you're saying. You mean "I flopped the nuts, I don't want them to put me on that hand." Ironically, a good way for your opps at these levels to not put you on a big hand, is to bet! One example to maybe "slowplay" this hand would be if I lead the pot on the flop, someone called, and someone else reraised. I would think about flat calling the raise to keep both players in, and build the pot that way. In this case, you should raise to build the pot since they're not doing it for you.

I'm taking this from another post here and basically rephrasing what bdawg wrote, but remember you are playing THEIR cards much more than playing yours. If you have a great hand and they have a great but 2nd best hand, build up the pot before they get scared off (eg a fourth diamond)!

And like someone else wrote on one of my first posts here, if you never slow play you won't miss much value.

 Think about this, the hands that pay you off are the ones like his. Waiting for them to make a better hand for free does you no good. It looks like you're waiting for someone to make a big bluff on the river with nothing in the end. This almost never happens except against brutal players that watch too much TV.

He will pay with two pair when you bet bigger. Don't worry about scaring out little hands, they will get scared out anyway. I never slow play monsters anymore. I build that pot right from the start.

And don't quit poker. I think Fnord must have accidently signed in under Lukie's account.

 id raise every street but i have the table image to do that.
As played id bet something like 4.5-6 on the turn and encourage a yukky call. I may raise the flop too and hope im against a calling station.

 First, this hand shouldn't have ever happened. Next time click 'wait for big blind'. Checking or raising are both legit options preflop. Lead out on the flop. pot, 3/4 pot, 2/3 pot, something like that. Ok so somebody potted it for you. AWESOME. no... don't call, make it $3 or $4 to go. As played, on the turn, I'm not sure if a donk (leading without inititive) or c/r is better, but I think the check is ok. But don't min-raise his 1/2 pot bet. Make it like $7 to go.

Ok, the river is the worst card in the deck. Your once second nut hand is now potentially beat by QdTd, KK, KQ, KJ, K9, QQ, JJ, and 99. KQ/KJ/K9/99 are real possibilities IMO. To be honest I don't know what I'd do on this river. You've underrepresented your hand so badly. But notice how 80% of the money went in when your very transparent flush became the 8th nuts. And only when this happens do you actually wake up and start betting, I don't get it.

I think check/call and betting smaller for value and folding to a push are better then making a large bet and calling the push.
