If I remember correctly, in hand 1 the villain was 31 / 3 so I didn't put too much stock in his bets. I had him on A Q or A K and thought I would just smooth call my 2 pair to a win. Hand 2 no reads. My standard play is the 4xBB PFR and then follow that with 1/2 PSB after the flop which got me what I wanted ... HU with the villain.

Success is how high you bounce after hitting bottom.

1 - I fold preflop. As played, you have to raise this hand somewhere. I would have raised the flop. If he pushes over you again then you would come down to your reads on villian. Just calling down hands like this is bad.

2 - Your cbet is pretty weak on the flop, I either check or bet 2/3 - 3/4 pot. You hit TPTK on the turn, the bet is fine. I don't like the river value bet. I either check/call here or push, and this comes down to reads. I think 90% of the time I would take check/call line on the river here. I'm just a little suspicious that I was flat called on the flop and turn. I want to showdown.

I am noticing a lot more people these days coldcalling a 4XBB raise with KK/AK/AA/QQ instead of reraising. It's almost like a disease.....
