You folded a horrible hand preflop, which is correct. I hate watching hands I'm not in for that reason. I coulda shoulda woulda. If I didn't have to monitor my opponents betting habits I wouldn't bother.

Yeah, I know. I rarely watch hands I'm not in, and if I do, I tend to mentally wipe away my cards as soon as the flop comes down. It's easier not to dwell on it. But as the first hand at a table, when I'd already paid $1 for that cruddy hand... man, that stung. It was a $25 pot even without my input. Could've easily been $40 or so. All I would have to do is make a really horrible call with 34o...
