.10/.20 blinds, 6-max. I have 29.15, villain has me covered.
sorry about no real hand history, noble poker has a weird setup.

Two limpers, I raise from the button to 1.20 with AdKc. BB reraises to 2.60, folds to me, I call. (5.70 pot)

my read is that this is reraised with AT+, or 44+. I have been fairly active, as has villain. he has shown a willingness to open raise weaker hands, but not reraise too often, and never against me.

flop A76, all spades. opp bets 3.60, I call. With the ace being out there, and my preflop range, I put him on TPGK + flush draw as the most likely holding. Maybe KK, QQ, with the K/Q of spades. I called instead of raising to see what the turn brings. (pot 12.90)

Turn is a 9 of hearts, opp bets 10.80, i push for 12.15 more, giving him roughly 3-1 to chase his likely 12 outs. he calls.

any comments would be appreciated.

If this is the range you put him on that a raise on the flop is good.

This is esspecially true since you seem to plan to push any non scary turn card.

opp betting the turn so big is commiting himself. You don't have fold equity on the turn after his bet. You need to be ahead on the turn to push. Are you sure you are ahead?????

i decided to call the flop rather than push/raise because if opp has the flush draw, he has 12 outs, making me a slight favourite, whereas on the turn if a scare card doesnt hit I am more like 65-35 as opposed to 52-48, unless I have those numbers wrong.

I am 90% sure I am ahead on the turn, maybe even 95.

if you would advocate a raise on the flop, how much of one?

are there any other lines that could/should have been taken anywhere in the hand??

Actually after rethinking this, and given your read on villian.. why not re-reaise preflop?

With the goal of building the pot with the best hand and making him make the mistake by putting more in with an inferiror one. Plus you might take it down right there preflop, which is good since your AK is going to miss the flop 2/3 of the time.

after thinking about it, the problem with the reraise pf is that I am unlikely to be called by any hands that I dominate, and if I am I may have scared them enough to not really pay me off on an A high board. plus, since this is a low limit game, a reraise on my part could elicit a push from opp, most likely with a PP (66+), which I would be compelled to call. this wouldnt be too bad except that I am on the button, so have position, and I feel that I am better than my opponent and can make more and lose less than him post flop.

If he is going to fold his weaker hands and call with his better ones at least you know where you stand going into the flop. If you just call his reraise you don't know whether he is doing it w/ AA or AT. I like the reraise because it gives you more info as well as the opportunity to take the pot down preflop w/o having to improve your AK
