Villain is playing 9/8. Was not sure he would stack off KK preflop hence my call, also not sure if he could be 4b bluffing in this spot. Doubt he would do this with QQ/AK but ive seen random shit before

you are kidding, right? Like, i'd weight his range towards AA here, making it even easier. Who is it? some regs i'd call and some i'd shove over

If you don't think he 4bets anything but KK-AA, and doesn't stack off with even KK to a 5b shove, then why are you 3betting his UTG open?

Embarrasingly enough, i wasnt. I havnt played poker for ages and i have a hard time adjusting to the "new" games. I usually flat AA about 100% of the time, but in this game ive been 3betting alot and this guy was 9/8 from UTG so i felt compelled to 3b; When he puts in the 4b i immediately thought KK+. However I've felt like noone stacks off kings from EP these days, so i tended to flat to get it in on the flop. And yeah damy your right, i completely ruled off that he could have AA here

I'm gonna go and make myself even dumber but ive completely forgotten how to calculate this, am i correct?

shove 75, to win ~200, -> we need 37.5% equity? right? And my hand vs KK has 34%

I'm well aware that hand 2 was awesome :PP It was meant to include his hand didnt notice that. But then you guys can guess what hand he had =)

Your math is fine but you need to consider the following possibilities when you shove:
1) He has: AA, AK, AxQh, QhQx, JhJx
2) He fold KK here

Although some of those are very seldom, having AA and AK are often enough to make this a great shove.

I prefer leading hand 2. I don't really get what a c/shove accomplishes.
