Turn: ($1) 9 (4 players)

River: ($6.50) Q (2 players)

Flop: ($3.60) J, 8, 4 (2 players)

Pot 2: $5, returned to BB.

Results in white below:
No showdown. BB wins $8.60.

MP2 ($2.25)

Preflop: dar103 is MP1 with T, A.
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, dar103 calls $0.25, MP2 folds, MP3 calls $0.25, CO folds, Button folds, SB raises to $1, BB folds, dar103 calls $0.75, MP3 folds. Loose call, but I'll see the flop.

Flop: ($2.50) 7, 3, A (2 players)

Pot 2: $3, returned to dar103.

Results in white below:
No showdown. dar103 wins $11.50.

hand 1

flop - RAISE! - count the pot plus the bets, and then maybe even overbet to discourage the drawers

turn - fine

river - good. you've got two pair, but not the best two pair so hit hard

hand 2

pre - why are you raising (and only 2xbb if you are going to raise)? you want people in the hand

flop - fold, odds aren't right to draw (and you don't really have any other outs)

hand 4

pre - min raise again - call or do a real raise. a call might have kept the SB in.

flop - ok call, backdoor, and one over with ok kicker

turn - good

river - perfect!

hand 5 - good read on the table for the preflop AI.

hand 6

flop - small bet might have others put you on a pair rather than a draw but check is fine

turn - you ruined a flush drawers odds, so bet is fine

river - maybe a smaller bet

hand 7

flop - make a big bet - flopped straights can be evil!

hand 8 - good

hand 9 - small pair with a big (5xBB) preflop raise - i hate this! the implied odds are great, but you don't hit a set all that often. i think you're fold is fine.

hand 10 - played fine but be careful with hands like AT off.

overall looks good!
i hate what i have become to escape what i hated being...

1 - Raise the flop
2 - Don't raise pre-flop, put the button all-in on the flop since he's short stacked. Flush draw + 1 over is often a coin flip.
4 - Don't raise pre-flop, otherwise well played
5 - Nice, I don't slow play rockets either
6 - Fine, with a K & Q up it's a tough bluff board
7 - Fold pre-flop, otherwise well done
8 - Nice
9 - You MUST call that raise. Perfect chance to bust the tall stack.
10 - Fold pre-flop. Otherwise fine

this continues to be a source of annoyance in my game because you know the times you don't call the raise, there's your set.

i need to keep saying "one long session" to myself because i know in the long run, calling a raise like the above with a small pair will be profitable.

Very interesting thoughts on #9. I'd never really thought about it in this way before.

Maybe next time I post, I'll try just a couple of hands. In retrospect, 10 is probably too many. Thanks Fnord and Fishstick for taking the time to comment on all of these.
