hello all, i recently joined a few days ago (and intro'd myself in the beginner's thread) and having read alot of the advice threads(tho not sure how much i'm actually absorbing) i still have trouble playing low PPs.

Here's a HH (very low pot, but heck would like some feedback anyway)

Seat 7: player7 ($20.70 in chips)
Seat 8: player8 ($19.40 in chips)
Seat 9: player9 ($9.20 in chips)
Seat 10: player10 ($12.75 in chips)

ANTES/BLINDS
player9 posts blind ($0.15), player10 posts blind ($0.25).

[Hole cards 4C,4H]

PRE-FLOP
player1 folds, player2 folds, player3 folds, player4 calls $0.25, ME calls $0.25, player6 folds, player7 calls $0.25, player8 folds, player9 calls $0.10, player10 checks.

FLOP [board cards 9H,JH,10C ]
player9 checks, player10 checks, player4 checks, ME checks, player7 checks.

TURN [board cards 9H,JH,10C,4D ]
player9 bets $0.30, player10 folds, player4 calls $0.30, ME calls $0.30, player7 folds.

RIVER [board cards 9H,JH,10C,4D,8H ]
player9 bets $0.25, player4 bets $2.50, ME folds, player9 folds.

SHOWDOWN
player4 wins $4.80.

was it right to have layed in down at the river? (scared of the flush and straight)
should i have raised harder on the turn? or even preflop?

any feedback is welcome, critism too if you will, gotta make mistakes to learn but hopefully not too many eh

You have to raise the turn hard. Like to $2. Everything else is fine, river fold is good.
