Played 25PL for about 5 months and did pretty well that last 6 weeks so I moved to 25NL about 2 weeks ago. Here's one that I think I know the answer to but would like some opinions. I hadn't been on the table long enough to get a read on anyone.
(BTW ... I couldn't get the hand converter to work ... says the hand was not a supported format ... so here is my rendition).
Texas Hold'em $0.25-$0.50 NL (real money)
Table Neapel, 18 Mar 2006 11:58 PM ET
Seat 1: luckyt350 ($4.75 in chips)
Seat 2: devilmollusk ($65.90 in chips)
Seat 3: nietnomore ($14.25 in chips)
Seat 4: moe chedda ($29.50 in chips)
Seat 5: sokrboyz ($96.60 in chips)
Seat 6: iyourbadgirl ($31.60 in chips)
Seat 7: woggerz ($26.50 in chips)
Seat 8: Windsor x ($37.70 in chips)
Seat 9: Villain ($31.95 in chips)
Seat 10: Hero [ AH,AD ] ($23.10 in chips)
ANTES/BLINDS
sokrboyz posts blind ($0.15), iyourbadgirl posts blind ($0.25).
PRE-FLOP
woggerz folds, Windsor x folds, Villain calls $0.25, Hero bets $1.50, luckyt350 folds, devilmollusk folds, nietnomore folds, moe chedda calls $1.50, sokrboyz folds, iyourbadgirl folds, Villain calls $1.25.
FLOP [board cards 8S,5D,9C ]
Villain checks, Hero bets $4, moe chedda folds, Villain calls $4.
TURN [board cards 8S,5D,9C,5S ]
Villain checks, Hero bets $5, Villain calls $5.
RIVER [board cards 8S,5D,9C,5S,7H ]
Villain bets $13, Hero calls $12.60 and is all-in.
Should I learn to push AA after the flop?

I would either check or push the turn. The $5 bet put you in a difficult spot on the river.

Pushing the flop is not a good play. You won't get called by a tight player who's set camping and has missed, but you will be called by that same person who has hit, and makes you a serious dog with only two outs. While there is a chance that someone will call your push with something like A9, it will not happen enough times.

Push the turn or bet bigger than 5 dollars. Don't give him odds to chase

Bet closer to 9-10 on the turn. It makes your river decision much easier. Also doesn't give him any sort of odds to chase.
