Never hit it before, and didnt ever expect to make so much money off a premium hand.. but I guess a low straight flush is pretty sneaky. Knocked 2 people out early with this and gave me the ability to bully the rest of the tourney.

Ak At mid pair (saw no overcards on the flop so tried to take it down) or paired the board. It was a weird bet though since there wasnt much to steal, why 400? but I had the chips and I had an outside straight flush draw. My pot odds in relation to the bet wherent great, but they where decent and Ive never hit this hand before. On top of that he bet big so that means that if I hit it was going to pay off great. Again I had the chips if I lost I was hurt bad, but not broke.

Was it a smart play? no.. I just felt, despite what the pot odds where, that they pay off would be worth it if I hit. And I was right, it put me in a position to bully the table til the end.

It's actually not a bad call. vs. the hands they did have, you are dead even to win (47% for you vs. 42% for 10 5, and 8% for 10 4). With the two draws you had and two cards to come, you aren't dominated by most hands at this point. The only hand you would really worry about here is As 10s, which does have you dominated about 70-30... however, if the other player also holds a ten, you go back to being in decent shape (30% for you vs. 36% for A 10, and 33% for 10 4 or 10 5).

Well sure it was...you're ahead of most hands that I would put someone on betting this flop, unless they happened to hit TP and a flush draw. I would maybe have raised the flop trying to eliminate a higher flush draw.

oh, well then I feel even better about it now

The pot odds where against me though I thought. Maybe I calculated something wrong.. I just did it quickly in my head.
