Last night I started my adventure with NL Ring games, this being the .25/.50 . I am going to post some of my original thoughts as this hand played out, let me know your guys opinion

Seat 1: JayTee73
Seat 2: ihategnomes [ QD,QH ]
Seat 4: huuhwhaat
Seat 6: Oneputt x
Seat 8: zippyphonic
Seat 9: kangstar
Seat 10: Pokerface787
ANTES/BLINDS
JayTee73 posts blind ($0.10), ihategnomes posts blind ($0.25).

PRE-FLOP
huuhwhaat calls $0.25,
Oneputt x folds,
zippyphonic calls $0.25,
kangstar folds,
Pokerface787 folds,
JayTee73 bets $1,
ihategnomes calls $0.85,
huuhwhaat calls $0.85,
zippyphonic calls $0.85.

Generally I am not a fan of the re-reraise with the QQ preflop, as anything can happen on the flop. Maybe I am wrong? I dont have a read on the guy quite yet.

FLOP [board cards 6D,JC,6C ]
JayTee73 bets $2, ihategnomes calls $2, huuhwhaat calls $2, zippyphonic folds.

Flop comes, I figure the guy on KJ/AJ, was thinking about the waiting untill the turn to drop the hammer

TURN [board cards 6D,JC,6C,5D ]
JayTee73 bets $4.30, ihategnomes calls $4.30, huuhwhaat calls $4.30.

I'm a wuss, the bigger bet made me feel he could have been suited. Am I a wuss?

RIVER [board cards 6D,JC,6C,5D,3D ]

JayTee73 bets $0.05 and is all-in, ihategnomes calls $0.05, huuhwhaat calls $0.05.

Pathetic bet here, I figure he is trying to fake weakness, setting the trap, I call since its only 1bb for a much larger pot. I will post the results after some discussion. Thanks for the input in advance.

Too passive for my tastes. If you won't reraise preflop with QQ, what WILL you reraise with?? Certainly you need to raise on that flop.

Guessing he had pocket jacks?
TylerK: its just gambling if i want to worry about money i'll go to work lol

Too much calling. When are you going to bet this hand for yourself?

Missed a raise pre-flop.
Missed a raise on the flop
Missed a raise on the turn
Missed a raise on the river

If I had been playing as passive as you. I would have asked who had a flush draw on the turn. Then offered them the card they needed to win. You were letting them draw it anyway, why not just give it to them?
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Well the guy had KJ of diamonds. I dont always play this passive, my poker tracker rating is Tight Aggressive Aggressive, I took a bad string of beats before this hand, really, my error in this hand was probably playing it to begin with.

yeah I would have raised it to $2.50 at least and bet the pot on the flop. If you are going to play passive then expect to be outdrawn by crazy hands that would have folded pf.

QQ is a strong hand heads-up but the more hands you let in the less likely it will hold up.

If you take a string of bad beats and its going to effect your play like this, stop playing as this way of play will only increase your bad beats and decrease your win rate.

mistakes: didnt raise the flop-didnt raise the turn...WAY to passive IMO

If you were feeling on tilt then quit b/c you wont be playing your A game and are bound to make some mistakes, although i think this guy would have never folded this hand even if you pushed.

QQ is a hand that you raise preflop, you have one bet in front of you, of $1 you raise say to $4, see what happens, most the time people with KK or AA will come back over the top of you, sometimes people with suited paint will come over the top of you, but a raise is a must in my opinion to see where you stand, flop is a for sure raise (you had the right read), the turn, i raise (maybe even a larger one over pot size), see what happens with a reraise preflop, a reraise on the flop then a big raise/bet on the turn has to tell him you have a big pocket pair and he's beat, unless this guy plays bad then taking the pot down right then isn't always a bad idea, if i can take down a pot right then without any draws hell why not do it?

If anyone disagrees with me then please say so...

TDM: really, you mean I missplayed the hand, of course not , I posted this to show what TILT can do to someone, if you read the entire thread instead of posting to the first message you would have seen that, But thats alright, reading is over-rated anyway? Right??? If it makes you feel any better, I moved up limits and cleaned the tables. I just couldnt crack the .25/.50 NL, I moved to 1/2 and cleaned house. This is a table I had my KK, AA, AK with two pair smashed down my throat. I let the emotions get the best of me. I learned, but thanks for letting me know how "Lost" I am. Are you always a dick like this to everyone, or just me? I just need to know how to take it, personally or what have you. If I wanted to be treated like trash, I would stop going here and go over to 2+2. I guess I thought this site was above that.

My tilt used to be the exact opposite. I'd scare everyone away preflop by making sure this hand didn't lose. And you didn't really mention tilt as the reason why it was missplayed so someone breezing through woudln't have picked up on that. No need to get defensive, maybe taking TDM's comments to hard is a sign that you might need to be a little less emotional with poker. Also, tilt or not, you have to agree with TDM that you basically did everything wrong with that hand.

I figure that would cover it, I agree with how I played the hand wrong, I agree'd with after going to get a cup of coffee and looking back, which is what I should have done to begin with. Its not that TDM comments would have borthered me, if it was constructive, that being the key word. I do agree with what he said, but I feel, that we don't have to bash each other and make people feel stupid. The goal of this forum is two fold. For people to help and people to get help. The original reason I joined this forum, mainly, people were nice and helpful and they weren't abusive/abrassive. I have even read a thread talking about how nice it is here, compared to lets say 2+2, which is a fairly hostile enviroment. If we can't be nice, play together, and act like adults, whats the point? TDM's posting was out of line. At leasts thats how I feel and serveral others agree with me on that point. Soupie has his "worm" kick, which states bad beat stuff never helps anyone. Does abbrassive and cocky posts help people either? Probably not. With that being said, you guys are great!

Some people have gone too far, but everyone is telling you the same thing. Stop being passive. It's constructive critisim. When you said that you had a reason to play it passive, we said that you need to avoid playing on tilt.

If anyone is wasting bandwidth, it's the 6 page post that's a friggin song about how much you suck. It was silly, and he did it twice.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
