RIVER [board cards 5C,8C,6S,3D,9H ]

Ok he has checked on every single street thus far. I'm never sure if this means a guy is holding a set and trusting my aggression will keep putting bets out on the table or what. Should I throw out a huge bet here or just check it out as in the end I only ended up with a pair of threes. Or do you think I could scare him out of the pot or does he actually have a made hand that can beat me already? How else should I have played this?

He was on a draw of some sorts. He either has a 7 and made his hand on the river or 2 clubs and he missed. In the future don't bet so much when you are drawing to the ignorant end of a straight draw. I would have just checked/called and hoped for a cheap showdown until I hit my hand and fold if I didn't.

I reckon he's missd his flush.

I'd put out a smallish bet of about $10.

He should then fold
pocket Jacks eh?

CANT WIN WITH 'EM
CANT WIN AGAINST 'EM
CANT FOLD 'EM

I also think he missed a flush.

On a side note, that's one draw I don't usually bet. I'd consider that gutshot, I would think a seven is quite often a dirty out.

Why on earth would you bet here with a pair of 3s on the river? Its a bettor's dillema, he'll call with hands better than your pair and fold with hands worse. Just check it down, if he was drawing youll beat him since he'll just have high card.
BR now: $106900

Just check the river.

Also, this is a $4 pot to begin with, and you've now put $14 into it with bottom pair. If this was raised before the flop and there was some money to be won, go ahead and take a stab with your semi-bluff. With so little on the line, just see if you make your hand before you start creating a pot. 4bb pots are lame. We want the big ones.

No bet. Check through. Like someone already said, if he was drawing your 3's are good.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.
