I am pretty decent at maximizing my winnings, but I also seem to be maximizing my losings. If i'm UTG and have something (or even on a draw) I usually bet. Stuff like this happens ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the time. Should I have stopped?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (9 handed) converter

Button ($1.41)
SB ($4.78)
Hero ($2.65)
UTG ($2)
UTG+1 ($2.60)
MP1 ($2.55)
MP2 ($2.39)
MP3 ($3.27)
CO ($0.86)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [3d], [Jc]. UTG posts a blind of $0.02.
UTG (poster) checks, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.02, 1 fold, MP3 calls $0.02, 1 fold, Button calls $0.02, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: ($0.12) [3s], [4h], [4c] (6 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.06, UTG folds, MP1 calls $0.06, MP3 folds, Button folds, SB folds.

Turn: ($0.24) [6s] (2 players)
Hero bets $0.1, MP1 calls $0.10.

River: ($0.44) [Th] (2 players)
Hero bets $0.1, MP1 calls $0.10.

Final Pot: $0.64

Results in white below:
Hero has 3d Jc (two pair, fours and threes).
MP1 has 5c 6c (two pair, sixes and fours).
Outcome: MP1 wins $0.64.

I might've bet the flop, not such a bad move. when he calls, i might even bet the turn. but after that call, i'd check the river. at that point, you have bottom pair with three overcards or a possible straight. either go for it here and bet hard, or check. .1 won't scare him, and all you're beating at this point is nothing or a 3 with a worse kicker which is unlikely.

me personally, i'd check the whole way out on this one. He, i believe, was a slight favorite after the flop (not really sure but i think its close, 14 outs + backdoor flush?), and anytime you have a sortof junky hand like that i'd just check it until it got improved or i thought he'd fold to a bet. in my experience, low pairs in situations like this just don't hold up enough to make it worth betting at a small pot.

If you wanted to bluff on the river, it wasn't a very good one, you should be betting pot sized there if that is what you want to do.

I would probably bet the pot on the flop or 2/3 pot and if I get callers and the turn is and overcard and no help, I would check/fold it.
