why in the hell would you have "normally folded this preflop?" JTs is one of the most powerful hands in poker.

nice rush, i never fold JTs in a family pot, and sometimes even gamble facing a raise.

ChezJ is an unknown quantity at this point
hand 1: nice result, but unfortunately i must comment that you played it incredibly passively -- i.e. poorly.

hand 2: i fail to see the relevance.

I did start out passive, I didn't have a hand. I did check raise when I had the best hand, however. I have been working on my aggression, and the way I go about it largely depends on the type of play that's been going on at the table. I am still learning though, I don't pay near as much attention as I should to the other players, for example.

You did not check-raise...you check-called-raised....latter is much more passive....someone may have been on the flush draw after that turn....you gotta punish those guys.

Although the passivness did seem to work out for you in this hand with them doing all the work for you.
