I think i should have checked the turn, but I really felt I had the best hand. I made a bad read. This guy had bet aggressively in similar situations with nothing.

If you weren't going to fold if you checked and he pushed (which i assume you weren't with TPTK and the nut flush draw) then your push is good. Nothing you could have done, if the stacks were deeper you would have had an opportunity to get away from it but as it was you just took a fair beat.

Yea I don't think you had enough reason to check the turn, he could have had a weaker ace or whatever. So the push is fine.
