PRE-FLOP
AugieD_24 folds, rooster20041 folds, Damirka1 folds, thelipkin bets $0.50, SDFrankie bets $1.50, Snowplower1 folds, Glance folds, Jimmy8610 bets $2.25, thelipkin bets $6, SDFrankie bets $44 and is all-in, Jimmy8610 calls $12.55 and is all-in,
This is a mess. First, I backed off my flop raise, and min raised with 4 left to act because the table was passive and it made sense to me at the time. Then, everything gets weird.
I think its an easy laydown, but yet..........

Everyone is probably going to tell you to go broke here ( they might also tell you not to minraise preflop )
Any reads on these guys?

I own up to the min raise, but Jimmy is kinda an idiot, and was raising to a buck about half the hands and limping half the hands. I definately know that minraises are awful, and this hand heps to show why. My logic was incorrect with the minraise. I was thinking I could get somebody to play against me with bad cards, but really, raising more would have given me more cred on the flop, and if they were going to play with bad cards, they'd do it for a dollar as well as the fifty cents.
I did't see how the other guy doubled, so it could have been anything, but also, in the half hour I was at the table, he wasn't in a lot of pots.

At $25NL I will NEVER lay down KK preflop, unless I have a fantastic read.
BTW, ilikeaces will shoot you if you lay that down...

You got 1/4 of your stack in there already.
I played a hand just like this the other day...I got all the money in last, two guys in in front of me, I had KK.
They showed QQ and JJ.
JJ won, fortunately, so I didn't have to triple up. Cause damn, I hate tripling up.
Anyway, just stick it in. Then you won't have to feel like a baby when they flip TT and AK.

I did end up getting my money in there and I did win. It just ended up me sucking out on the bigstacks AA. Shortstack had QQ.
Happy with my play, and not just because of the results.

the combine odds of them not having AA plus the odds of you sucking out if they did have AA (20%) makes your play profitable. You were getting almost 2:1. Easy call.
