is he tight? because a river bet like that from a tight player is the "i hope he calls because i know i have the best hand" bet
take your ego out of the equation and judge the situation dispassionately

It was either an incredibly instinctual call, or I was incredibly lucky and foolish.

He flips KQ and I scoop.

Without a read I fold the turn. With the proper read calling down is fine.

debatable
unless hes laggy, the only hand that fits that beats you is KdQd. This is entirely possible so I would probably fold, but nice hand.
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

Renton, I make calls like this all the time. Like you said it's read based. You get a feel for these things. You should be proud of this hand, if you played for stacks with a read you trusted.

4 clubs on Board...

It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Nice hand. You didn't get lucky at all.

The only suggestiong I'd make is to lead out with the betting on the turn, but strong. If he calls, you know he doesn't have a monster, and the only hand I'm worried about now is AK.

If you 'feel' that he didn't have much, if anything, calling him down would be a more profitable line. This line however, allows for a greater chance of him bluffing you out.

when youre playing a hand weakly in order to have people come after you, you need to be prepared for the heat.

i say nh. you only need to be right every other time. its painful tho when you let them hit their kickers.
