Villain is a total rock. He plays 7% of hands and ive never seen him raise preflop before. He always has an overpair here or I guess maybe the Jacks. I think I should have had most of his stack here.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Hero ($42.25)
MP3 ($62.03)
CO ($6.50)
Button ($18.47)
SB ($21.90)
BB ($16.90)
UTG ($43.64)
UTG+1 ($6.75)
UTG+2 ($25.38)
MP1 ($12.30)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 9, T. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG raises to $1, 3 folds, Hero calls $1, MP3 calls $1, 3 folds, BB calls $0.75.

Flop: ($4.10) 6, 3, 8 (4 players)
BB checks, UTG bets $2, Hero calls $2, MP3 folds, BB folds.

Turn: ($8.10) 7 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $3, UTG calls $3.

River: ($14.10) J (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $8, UTG calls $8.

Final Pot: $30.10

I usually fold this flop but I was sure Id take a bite out of him if I hit. make the turn $4?

As a total r0ck, I put him on QQ, KK, AA...and play it the same way. The only way you are getting a big river bet on him is if he hit trip J's. Also, although he's a rock, did you have a read on him that he can lay down a hand? If he can't, I might have bet $12+.

Bet more on the turn, as played I think the river is fine since you are betting for value.

Lukie is on a distinguished road
so he always has an overpair and you're betting $3 into the $8 pot on the turn?

barf.

Good point. A strong turn bet could set you up for a bigger bet/call on the river, particularly if he has AA, KK.

hmm... I thought if I made a weak stealy type bet he might raise. In the same position now I think id make it $6 and another 2/3 on the river.
