So first thought is why did I even play with 96o? Well the whole table was anal tight so I was thinking of stealing some cheap pots. The flop has an Ace with a flush draw out there so I expected anyone with an A to bet out. It checks around to me, I figure no one has an Ace, so i bet out representing it. Player7 surprised me by calling. I put him on a flush draw wanting to gamble, so the turn pairs my 9. Player7 bets out, I didn't figure him for an Ace so I thought my 2nd pair was good so I called. River gave me 2 pairs! He bets again so now I'm thinking maybe he has an Ace and was trying to slow play it so I go all in and he calls!

the whole table was anal tight

At that point, wouldn't it be better to find another table than to play marginal hands? Don't think I've ever played 96o except for blinds.

agreed, 6-9o is worse than marginal. Move to a different table

ya I was about to move to another table but I wanted to finish my rounds before the blinds came back to me. For that hand, I was just gambling, wanting to steal, I didn't really care what my hole cards were but I was just lucky that my bluff attempt turned into a real hand. That guy was pissed! The next hand he went all in for 12 bux and ended up busting out.

The table was 100NL. I find 100NL to be quite profitable compared to 25. Surprisingly, people aren't as tricky as they are on 25NL (in my experience). I think they play more straight forward since they know a failed bluff attempt will cost them much more than 25 bucks.
