opp is fairly tight, hasnt really gotten out of line. seems to slowplay preflop if out of position.
I have been moderately aggressive, but havent done too much raising postflop without the goods.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
saw flop|saw showdown
UTG+1 ($14.75)
MP1 ($13.58)
MP2 ($16.05)
MP3 ($10.98)
CO ($6.95)
Hero ($37.15)
SB ($20.50)
BB ($59.31)
UTG ($15.35)
Preflop: Hero is Button with 8 , 5 . SB posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.25, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.25, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.
Flop: ($1.25) 6 , 4 , 3 (5 players)
SB bets $0.25, BB raises to $1.43, UTG calls $1.43, MP1 folds, Hero calls $1.43, SB folds.
Turn: ($5.79) 7 (3 players)
BB bets $2.98, UTG folds, Hero raises to $12
I am wondering if a smaller raise would have been a better option. I have been playing a little scared of draws lately, which leads to some larger bets than normal, and possibly some lost value.
comments on the all around play if you feel they are needed.

I guess I should add, I put opp on top two, TPTK, or a pair with a draw. something in that range, with a slight possibility of a small overpair.

I think it's unlikely he's raising the flop with the flush draw (unless he has a straight draw too), so I think you have the nuts here. If he has a 5, he's probably paying you off regardless, and if he has worse than two pair, he's probably folding to any meaningful raise. The question is how to get stacks in if he has a 5, but give him a chance to come along with a worse hand. Your bet only gets called by a 5, but at least it ensures you're getting stacks in on the river. I'd be inclined to go with a smaller raise (like to $8), to try to convince him to look you up with two pair or an overpair.
