i just got knocked out of a tourny with an ace high flush. i was dealt Qh 8h in the big blind which i checked. 5 people saw the flop which was Ah As 4h. ive got 6500 chips which was like 400th out of 475 remaining. i bet 2k and get reraised all in by two people which i call because with my stack i figured this is where i could get back in it or go to bed. player 1 had Ac 2d and player 2 had Ad 2s. the turn was a 9h. i made my flush but the river was the 2c giving player 1 and 2 full houses and sending me here to bitch about it.

With those 2 aces on the flop..how cud i smell a full house on its way?

No pre-flop raise.. ppl playing weak ace's an all-in raise i wud of been very wary. Ok u think ppl might of hit trip ace's, fine if u hit ya flush u are beating them.. however has some1 hit a boat already aces full or even 4's full of aces?

Remember with a flop like that...some1 who has flopped trip aces has a higher draw than u do, the full house draw. So ya odds of winning are decreased.. firstly u gotta hit ya flush and hope no1 hits their full house or some1 aint got a full house already.

Maybes u could of got away with checking or making a small bet, (i dont know the size of the blinds) is 2000 a small bet or have u already commited to the hand whatever the person ahead of ya does with the size of your bet? This is one thing i am trying to eliminate from my game...over raising and over betting to try and take pots down when i have an average hand, as i get involvled call raises that i shudn;t and so fourth.

I suppose if the blinds are about 1/2th of ya stack then its a good potential play against 3 players but its certainly a risky one.
Bad luck.
