Hand was played in live game so I don't remember all the details.

Hero is BB, villain #1 is loose-aggro, villain#2 is loose-balanced (reasonably aggressive) player. Hero is seen as a tight and aggressive player. All players have 150 BB stacks.

Hero is dealt 5d8d.

Preflop it is limped by everybody and the pot is 6 BBs.

Flop: 3d9cTd
Hero bets 6 BB, 3 callers (pot is 30 BBs)
Turn: Qd
Hero bets 20 BB, viallains #1 and #2 call, 4th player folds. (pot is 90 BBs, players have approx. 130 BBs)
River: 2c

Hero does what and why? How do we extract value from our hand? That is, does our hand have a value? Should we bet, and if yes how much and why?

there are lots of 1 or 2 pair hands as well as some straights that are still around and will probably call another bet. I would bet 60BBs and fold to a shove unless you have a read that villain will shove river with worse/as a bluff.

Just check-fold the flop, your hand sucks. With six people in the pot you'll be drawing dead way too often against one guy with a pair and another guy with a bigger flush draw.

Once the flush gets there, bet big on every street and probably fold to a raise.

id bet fold 40bb making the decision easy and getting value from some weaker hands

deanglow what is bet big to you here? online 70bb would be 'big' but not huge. Live it seems people don't bet close to pot as much

What MCat said. If it's only 4 or maybe 5 to the flop, I'm more inclined to bet my hand, although being OOP blows.
