another tough one in my mind. within a few minutes at the table, no info on skizeer (although from following later on it didnt seem like he made stupid plays)

So i'm in MP with a happy KK and a smirk on my face, unfortunately I've got all folds coming my way, so I decide not to put in a huge amount expecting either a raise or at least one or two calls. I figure on this hand my position really hurts me.

So it's just heads up. I have a pot bet coming my way on the flop, with what's showing I figure he's not on a draw for the flush or straight, otherwise he's killing his own pot odds. I doubt he has the str8 from preflop. In any case I want more information so i raise.

Now this is where it gets tricky. What should i really be thinking when he calls me
1) he didn't re-raise so I doubt he has AA
2) he could have AK, AQ or AJ or similar and think's i have a lesser hand than I do and takes his chance on the over cards?

His bet on the turn stuns me, in my mind he's paired the Ace or somehow ended with a flush - could he have had AK ?

With the ace there and the size of the bet I cannot justify my nut flush chance (roughly 20%) and fold.

Your pre-flop raise was 4.5 BB perfectly appropriate.

I think it was a good fold...

anything on my thought processes and analysis ? I wish I had more time than 15-30secs sometime to really think things through, but that's why I'm really putting in some thought on these controversial hands so eventually I'll get similar hands where I'll rememeber my analysis..

It was a good and mature fold. A lot of people just won't fold KK while there is still hope.

On the river, the worst possible card came and it basically made your decision a little easier.
