Post subject: KK in position to tricky board.

Hey guys, i'm back. It's a long story with my ISP, but I thought I'd post some interesting hands from my bi-weekly home game.
We play 1-2$ NL 200max from 5pm til dawn. So by midnight 1am players are at the table with deep stacks $400+
I have 150$, Villan has $300+
Hero in MP  
Folded to Hero who makes it 10$ to go.
Folded to BB who calls.
Flop:   
Villan checks, Hero bets 10$, Villan calls
Turn: 
Villan checks, Hero bets 15$ Villan Calls
River 
Villan checks, Hero bets 15$, Villan re-raises to $40.
Reads: Villan is pretty good player, loves to slowplay. Last 3 weeks lost bunch of money slowplaying to the lose. Tonight he has already showndown 2 hands with nothing, and Bluff pots off on the river to players that look week.
My thoughts and results to come.

I usually bet more on the flop and turn and then check behind on the river to avoid getting check raised.

On a paired board, there is only five cards that he could have that that flop would have helped him on. You're 5x BB PFR tells you he doesn't have a two. He may have 88. He may have AA. Both of these are very unlikely compared to all the other hands he could be holding. I am not worried about him have a four or 44. His most likely holding is a pair lower than yours that didn't hit a set or a total bluff. I do not to fear his almost pot sized raise. It looks like he's trying to steal the pot from you.
If you play with him often and he has recently been making money off you, especially by slowplaying hands he probably thinks you are scared and will fear his raise and back down.
If you are going to make a stand against this guy, this is a good place to do it.

Occasionally I will make a bluff on the river if I have an A kicker to go with 2 pair, if like in you example, I dont believe the player has a 2 or a 4 and I think they would lay down something else.
Tough Hand though. There looks to be like ~110 dollars in the pot, so I would probably call, but it depends on the player
