villain is one of my favourite semi-regs. He's 70-10 but not retarded post-flop - he seems to know how regs view him (dead money) and used it to his advantage. He ends up with big stacks at ante tables (500-700bb) on a regular basis, stacking regs with their overpairs like there's no tomorrow. He also loses these stacks, but in general seems better at deep stack post-flop play than many of the regs. He 1-tables mostly 100nl, 5-10 HU or 3-6 HU.
pre-flop his range is almost atc, his call doesn't change that much. There is definite value to be had on the flop, his calling range is like the trips, the oesds, the Tx, and the gutshots. A lot of these won't be calling two streets.
Turn is a funny card. I'm really tempted to check behind here cos I'm not sure there's a lot of value to be had and i hate seeing a check-raise. But it seems sick to be pot-controlling an overpair this deep against dead money. Thoughts? is this just a standard bet-fold spot?

Just bet/fold every street. The reason you hate a c/r is because it's gonna be for value the vast majority of the time given your read. However, I think he's gonna just call down with Tx enough and maybe even a weirdly played JJ/QQ to make betting every street best.

The strengh of a hero is defined by the weakness of his villains.
