UTG is a taggy reg and MP1 is an unknown. My image is taggy as well with a 16/9/3. No stats on villains.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (7 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
Hero ($313.10)
BB ($352.05)
UTG ($194.95)
MP1 ($105.85)
MP2 ($212.25)
CO ($141.50)
Button ($122.70)
Preflop: Hero is SB with K , K .
UTG raises to $6, MP1 calls $6, 3 folds, Hero raises to $24, 1 fold, UTG calls $18, MP1 calls $18.
Flop: ($74) Q , 9 , T (3 players)
Hero checks (the reason for this check is because I'm putting UTG on a PP and don't want to face a raise on the flop multi-way oop. I figured UTG would not bet if they didn't like their hand, so I figured this would be cheaper than leading for a 1/2 - 2/3 PSB... blast me if you like), UTG checks, MP1 bets $18, Hero calls $18, UTG folds... Now I'm super happy
Turn: ($110) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $78

I don't hate it but I would still probably bet the flop.

I'm expecting everyone to say this. Does ANYONE agree with a check?

Ive used it occasionally and can see the thinking as to why, but im with the consensus that id need a reason to do it.
Eg i know one of my opps will never fold AQ here.

I don't really like it because we have to call the bet from MP1 before it gets back to UTG, so unless you are certain that he is only betting with hands, and is always betting with a hand, I don't think checking accomplishes what you want here, except for the fact the MP1 made a really small bet.

the check is fine, i'd be a bit tempted to raise though once it gets back to me because dude looks like a donk and the board can come crappy in more than a few ways so i'd like to put some money in vs his pair + gutshot or whatever he has

I suppose putting in a small raise (to even something as small as $40) would ensure comfort against UTG + would potfuck MP1.
