Should I have checked? In retrospect this is the classic KK nightmare. How would you play this? Is this a set line, or another PP defending?

Obviously my preflop bet was too weak. With two limpers it should have been at least $2.50 to go.

lots of draws raise this, but so may a set or straight

i probably call and evaluate turn. hard to say.

i dont think a flop check is good. lots of garbage can draw on that.

Bleh. Pre-flop is fine, unless the table has been super loose. Flop lead is good. And it's painful, but I find a fold to the flop raise. You could be way behind and at best your flipping vs. a draw.

Yeah, I folded.

Today in a similar situation I called and dropped a buy in to a set. I had taken a bad beat on a recent hand and wasn't thinking straight. Wish I had read your response earlier zook and I probably would have stuck to my read and folded.

Other than that hand today, I'm finally doing better with KK. It's rarely an all in hand, except a hand I got Kings full of 10s today. Whee.
