Besides the turn bet size, I think it's fine.

I think you're betting it too weak the whole way.

I'd make it 5 or even 6 preflop, and 10+ on the flop. Make him pay to see more cards.

trust me. opening for 4bb's is not a problem. there's also no reason at all to overbet the flop.

Right... so you've asked for a line check but you're not interested in any advice from more experienced players.

Whatever.

Everything looks fine except for the turn bet for sure. What did he show?

Ok thanks for your advice. I appreciate it. Why don't we discuss it then? Why do you open for more than $4 preflop? Why do you overbet the flop?

Also you have no way of knowing how "experienced" we are in relation to each other.

Pffft.
5-6 preflop and 10+ flop would be a terrible line. Not saying you can't play it, but OPs line is much more credible.

OP: Not sure why you checked the river? Can you be sure he won't be checking behind?

There's a very strong likelihood that he's either got nothing but high cards and is taking a shot at the pot, or perhaps he's got a PP and thinks you've missed.
I think I'd rather take the risk of being raised here than take the risk of him checking behind when he looks like he wants to be the sherrif?
Blah blah Op Blah blah

Seems more likely that the villain has some showdown value, rather than a busted draw (that he might bluff the river with). So I like a bet/fold there rather than a check/call.

well if he has missed overs he's not calling a river bet. i'm not sure how often a pp calls a 3rd barrel.

If you know villian is a calling station and likes to see flops no matter the cost then sure, make it $5 or $6 preflop. Otherwise you're going to kill most action, and you want some kind of action from your monsters.
