Villain is an 18/14 regular. No fold to 3b stats. I think he's a supernova too fwiw

Is there a point in cbetting this flop? I felt that TT-KK are checking behind this flop and the only hands that are going to bet it are Ax (and air but I don't think he's bad enough to call such a large raise with just a suited connector)

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

saw flop

BB ($61.75)
UTG ($87.05)
MP ($53.80)
Button ($53.20)
Hero (SB) ($50)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K, K
UTG bets $2, MP calls $2, 1 fold, Hero raises to $10, 2 folds, MP calls $8

Flop: ($22.50) 6, 9, A (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $13, Hero folds

Total pot: $22.50 | Rake: $1.10

i usually call one street in this spot. pretty obvious u either have a monster hand or u hate the ace... so a bet like this is great from villain with ATC.

dont people generally play more straight forward in 3bet pots? which would mean Ax is a lot more common than atc

yes, it's up to you to decide whether or not villain has atc 1/3 of the time or not.

Utg stats are fairly important here. Does villain have reason to think you are fos here preflop? I'm a bit of a convert in this spot because I tend to just bet because it makes the hand easier to play.

A great man once said that this game is not about putting yourself in easy spots - but rather guessing correctly in profitable ones.

Yeah, but until you play perfectly it's probably wise to avoid EV- decisions in the future if you can just feel how shitty the next street is going to play

So I'm going to bet, expect a call from JJ/QQ and Ax and c/f the rest of the streets for value
if he was a 10/8 nit then there would be no reason to bet because he'd fold QQ/JJ on the flop

Does anyone squeeze smaller, or is this a good size being OOP?

ask yourself if you're left with an easier decision by cbetting or checking

Folding preflop makes this hand really easy to play.

You're being ridiculous
of course we can't fold pre
to make it easy to play we should just jam pre, now that would make it easy to play!

Agreed. Shoving pre is >>>>>>>>> folding.

Pretty sure FTR nailed this hand.

Thanks for adding to the discussion.

Cbetting flop with you're whole range with $10 is fine. Check/folding is a close second and not bad in any sense

I think you missed the point, Dean.
