Obviously when he pushes I've created such a large pot that I have to call, which begs the question: Do you like the preflop re-raise or would you just flat call?
I figured his raising range to be pretty large and that chances were I had the best of it pre flop, but vs. a half stack is it better just to see the flop?

My usual line in BB versus a steal is.
Call the raise
Call the flop.
If I have anything decent checkraise the turn.
I think your hand is too strong to reraise preflop here. If opp is stealing, you want another bet into your "weakness"

I just call preflop. Once you bet and the shortie raises you, you can't fold.
