Curious to get some opinions on how I played this hand. It started out innocently enough and ended up massive. I start out semi-bluffing with a check/raise and end up scare-card bluffing...

No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
9 players

No read on this opponent. My table image was rock if anything.

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is BB with
UTG calls, 7 folds, 7 folds, Hero raises to $1.5, UTG calls.

Flop: ($3.25, 2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $1, Hero raises to $3.5, UTG raises to $6, Hero raises to $12, UTG calls.

Turn: ($27.25, 2 players)
Hero is all-in $57.5,

Opponent has $23 dollars remaining when I'm all in. Results in white:

UTG folds.
Uncalled bets: $57.5 returned to Hero.

Results:
Final pot: $27.25

Terrible on all streets... don't raise KJ OOP against an UTG limper. The flop C/R is fine, but you took it a bit far by 4-betting. When the turn comes, you pick up an extra 3 outs, but still a pretty big dog to any pair. Pushing is definitely EV- here.

I agree that my last reraise on the flop was a bit much. At the time I was thinking that a check/raise on that innocuous flop after raising 4x BB before the flop looked like a bluff, and thats why he raised back, therefore I should raise back hard.

When the ace hit, I realized I was screwed if I checked after showing so much strength, he'd see the weakness and go all in forcing me out. So I decided to go all in (a pot size bet that looks scary) because I could win 2 ways - if the A was a scare card to him or if I rivered one of my 8 outs. I didn't even notice the 3 straight outs, which is embarassing but doesn't change anything really.

how about you check it down in the big blind then lead the flop when you flop your draw. If he calls, lead the turn as you pick up the nice combo draw as well. If he makes a small raise on the flop, call.

This hand is just ugly, sorry.
