villain is 17-12 over a small sample, but hasn't done much of note nor out of line. I have him at 2/3 fold to 3bet. 3b pre was too small, not sure how this wasn't $4.75.. Turn and river play?

I would raise the turn. I think he is almost always blockbetting a smaller pair. I'd much rather raise the turn than the river... I think you'll get called much lighter on the turn.
Unless I have a note that he will gaybet to induce I would always raise turn.

I'd raise to 3x and bet small on the river.
I'd raise to 17 and shove rivers when I have air at least some of the time.

Balancing ranges vs small sample sized 50nl FR players is overrated.

Not for balance, I just think we get him to fold a ton if we make him put his stack in after the cc/gaydonk. But he might call for less.
