Post subject: A K vs Q Q???

Hey Forum,
Im fairly new to poker and recently i was playing $1/$2 live at a local casino. I find myself UDG with A(d) K (c) and raise to $6 and get 2 callers. Flop comes A(c) 3 (c) 5 (c), i raise $15 with top pair and nut flush and get one caller. Turn comes Q (h) i bet $15 he raises all in for $60. ( Previous hand he lost $100 to me.) I call thinking hes on tilt trying to force me out of the hand. River is 9 (d). He ended up hitting a set of Queens on the turn and winning the pot. Just want to know anyones opinions and what they would do in this situation?

A) Wrong Forum. This post belongs in the Tilt forum. Or atleast live poker because clearly this is not a Sit and Go.

D) Betting $15 into $21 on the flop is fine, but why would you bet $15 into $51 on the turn?

Would you like me to move this post to the cash games forum?
Otherwise, from my limited knowledge of cash games, I'd play as you did and put your opponent all-in on the turn considering the size of the pot. If you lost, it's just a bad beat, you shouldn't have played any differently.

well usually it`s a bet-fold spot, esp live where nobody bluffs as much or valueraises worse. But given SPR and odds i guess it`s a call more often

my first post, and first piece of advise... you did the right thing up until you bet $15 after the turn card. I know you were probably in a hurry to bet thinking you had the best hand, but honestly, after the call on the flop you should have slowed yourself down for one second and put your opponent on a range of hands. I would have put the facts together and determined he was on a high pocket pair, or possibly the same hand that you had. At this point I would have checked the Turn card. I know that might sound weird to you, but this is my style of play. Had I checked the turn and my opponent went All-In I would fold. Had he bet small, I would have called to see the river. Had he checked I would have come out guns blazing on the river if it didn't improve a hand range I put him on.
But again, this is just my style of play. What you did was perfect, cause it's the way you play.
Next time you may want to push a little harder with that hand after the flop to try and push out a higher pocket pair. Beside that he just got a good Turn card. It happens. Someone has to lose
