I think this hand demonstrates why you shouldn't just call a reraise with A-K.

I guess if you don't think he's the type to reraise with AQ pf then I'd fold. Though alot of people on 2+2 and here say that if you donk an Ace high flop in a reraised pot that they're raising no matter what. If I called pf I would need a good read to fold this when I flopped TPTK with the Ace. I would also need even the slightest read to not fold this preflop to his reraise, so given no info here I'd fold pf.

If you called it preflop knowing you'd be OOP then you have to 3bet AI on the flop knowing this is a strong possibility.
Ship It

yeah fold preflop unless you have a good reason not to. if you do though idk is leading out the best way to play it... that really sets you up to get allin with a hand you dont really like that much.

Instead of folding preflop, i think raising is better. It makes identical A-K hands have to make a very difficult decision before the flop, and J-J/Q-Q hands are forced into a situation where they will probably fold.

Leading on this flop was definitely a bad idea, since i might win a c-bet on the flop from Q-Q/K-K if i were to instead go for c/c or c/r.

Since there are 6 combinations of A-K, 1 combination of A-A, and 3 combinations of J-J, i should probably try to keep the pot as small as possible but also go to showdown since i am tied with 5 of the 10 hands (As-Ks is ahead) he could be holding.

More thoughts on the "as played" portion of this hand?

I forgot to mention as played push the flop but w/e. I would have c/r the flop to. I think pushing with no read is just as bad as calling.

edit: i quickly change my mind about pushing it's no where near as bad as calling.

either dump it or come over the top. JJ is a strong possibility, being against AA would suck otherwise you can see if we can push him off it lol.
