I did a live tournament last night. It was one of those free entry bar tournaments. Mostly for fun and to have something to do will you drink an ass-load. (I had about 12 beers and 2 shots)
I placed 15th out of about 100. No my best finish, but there were a couple of good hands.
I was in late position and delt [ , ]
It was raised to me and I called. We had 3 people seeing the flop. Flop came [ , , ]
I raiser, I called. Not a strong pair, but I still had TPTK. The turn came and it was checked to me. I had a nut flush draw but with only 1 more card, I wasn't too sure I could get it. I checked. The river came with a [ ] Even better, someone said out loud. "Oooohh, you didn't get your flush draw." I loved it, and I lived it up. I ended up raising big and I had a caller because he was sure I missed my flush. It was one of my biggest pots of the night.
This next one is the hand I went out on.
Blinds were getting big 1k / 2k. I had about 10 K, so I was in pretty good shape, but I needed to make a move.
I had big blind and I was delt [ , ]
Even the small blind folded. It was me and the button playing this hand.
The flop [ , , ]
There was about 5,000 in the pot and I had about 8,000 left, so I tried to buy it. I had 17 outs and I could very well hit something, but it was also a bad flop and I wouldn't be surprised if I did buy it.
The button called. She flipped over [ , ]
I was feeling good. I had more outs. 9s, Ts, J, 6s, and s total of 22 outs. I think I may have had the odds in my favor.
The turn was [ ]
The river was [ ]
It hurt. I was taken out with that hand. I could have checked my way to the top 10, but I wanted more money.
Oh well, I had fun. and at the end of the night, I had all the more fun cause I was drunk as a skunk.

I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Both hands well played. Might have gotten more aggressive on the first one, but it's a scary board and it really depends on your read. If he slow played into your nuts then you played it perfectly.

You had 15 outs (you counted the 6c and Jc twice). Better than even odds to draw to your straight or flush, which you have to figure is a winning hand at this point. Couple that with the (even small) percentage that she'll fold, and you have a great semibluff here.

I think it was 20 outs (nine clubs, three 9's, three T's, two J's, three 6's), which made you about a 7:3 favorite despite her made hand.
Tough luck, H.
