all folded to button who raised my BB pretty good and I had the ducks. Our stacks were about even.

Anyway what I realized is that just doubling up isn't enough potential for me to set-hunt with the baby pairs. I want at least a chance This was a $4 bet and our stacks were $50, so technically I had the implied odds ... I just wasn't very excited.

Too weak?

I don't think so. This guy could have been raising with any two to steal your blind.

So lets say you call him. You hit your duck on the flop. He has nothing but throws a continuation bet out anyway, which you call. Seeing as how he may have nothing and you have called two pretty substantial bets, this guy may be done with the hand.

Or say that you don't hit your flop. He throws out a continuation bet. You still have no idea where you're at here.

So you have the implied odds, yes, but only if you think he's got a hand that would pay you off. If I had some read on this guy that he could be raising any two, I'll do one of two things. I'll shove the ducks right down his throat preflop or I will fold it, simple as that.
