My logic was that he called my 4x raise preflop, then called my 3/4 bet on the flop. Then the king landed so I checked and he bet strong. At that point AK or KK are not likely because no raise preflop. However, Kx, pocket 4's, 8's and 6's have me beat all of which might call a 4x raise preflop. So I folded my 2 outs. Good laydown?
And another, I just finished - my thought is that both these guys played this hand idiotic and I got sucked out on but it's frustrating.

ponyfitness doesn't show [ Ac, Js ]a pair of Jacks.
bonzo335 wins $2.25 USD from the main pot with two pairs, Jacks and Twos.
The only reason I checked the river is because I think they would have called anything, I got a little nervous and didn't want to invest any more money into the hand if I didn't need to and then I saw the 2, which means that guy was calling with TPNK. I think if I had bet harder on the river he would have called anyway with two pair.

Hand 1. Bet bigger preflop. A 3.5xBB raise +1 BB per limper would be $.14 + .04 +.04 = $0.22. Some folks suggest 4x or 5xBB raises preflop at the mini-micros, so anything between $.22 and $.30 would be preferred. You're giving him 2 to 1 pot odds to call you, so he's correct to do so with almost every hand in his range.
With a vulnerable hand (overpair) on the flop, I would bet a full pot-sized bet, then fade to his aggression later in the hand. Villain's flatting range at this level is pretty wide, but most folks limp/call with small/med pp's. So a set or 55/77 (which have gutshot outs) is pretty likely.
As played, it's not too bad.
Hand 2: Why are you limping in with AJs in the cutoff? This is a perfect time to raise it up pre and make those loose limpers pay to see the flop.
You seem to be playing reasonable hands from reasonable positions, but my advice would be to raise more and bigger preflop (4xBB +1BB/limper minimum), and fire in full PSB's when you have anything less than AA on the flop.

hand 1: bet more pre - raise to 0.24. Flop is good. I bet-fold turn, check-call/check-fold river. Your thinking is good though, and maybe you're right that check-folding is the better turn line - the king is a scare card for villain though, cos it hits your range hard. That's why I like betting it.
hand 2: I prefer raising here pre-flop, but the call is fine too. Your flop re-raise needs to be bigger, raise to 0.40, otherwise you're giving every draw odds and it is a fairly drawy board. Turn is fine, but I like betting harder to charge the flush chaser more (ok, my read was wrong, but I still like betting more here). River is fine, TPTK is a weak river hand 3-way.
Overall - you think things through well here and your lines look good. Keep on going and you'll be grinding up through the limits in no time.
