This was like one of the first hands I played at 50NL. Hardly a welcome party.

MP3 is a known TAg from 25NL. I have to bet the turn right? I figure I'm pretty much putting my chips in, so I should have done so in a far more aggressive manner than I did. Could I have gotten away from the river, the way I played it?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

MP3 ($52.85)
Hero ($49.25)
Button ($24.25)
SB ($63.10)
BB ($29.50)
UTG ($49.25)
UTG+1 ($49.80)
MP1 ($49.25)
MP2 ($49.50)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J, J.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.50, 2 folds, MP3 raises to $2.5, Hero calls $2.50, 3 folds, UTG+1 calls $2.

Flop: ($8.25) 7, 7, 6 (3 players)
UTG+1 checks, MP3 bets $7, Hero raises to $17, UTG+1 folds, MP3 calls $10.

Turn: ($42.25) 9 (2 players)
MP3 checks, Hero checks.

River: ($42.25) 9 (2 players)
MP3 bets $33.35 (All-In), Hero calls $29.75 (All-In).

Final Pot: $101.75

What do you know about him from 25nl? This hand is very player dependent and there are many ways to play it depending on type of oppenent.

As played with no reads, easy fold on the river. Your flop raise gave you a lot of info. Either he has a bigger overpair that he flatted to your flop raise, or he very rarely will show up with 89 or 66. You really beat nothing.

Of course this can be a snap call against a known spewmonkey. Kinda depends. Is he good??

Robb is an unknown quantity at this point
I almost always 3bet pre here at 25nl. That said, this hand would be hell for me to play. Probably fold river.

Fold. All you beat on the river is TT and a bluff.

I hate your flop raise, to small. But stacks are awkward (which I'm assuming why you didn't go bigger).

I call flop, see what he does on turn. Usually raise pre.

The only thing you are doing on the river is catching a bluff. If you are planning on calling the river anyway, I'd bet the turn. You definitely find out where you're at that way.
