Ive been trying out 100NL for the past couple of days. less than 10 minutes into my first session I ran KK into AA so that sucked a little. Im starting to settle in a bit now but still occasionally getting the FPS problem of thinking everyones bluffing me. Villain in this hand is fairly loose/passive 36/3.3. Is this the super easiest instafold ever on the flop? I called it thinking I would probably get a free showdown unless he had a monster.

[quote]Villain in this hand is fairly loose/passive 36/3.3[quote]If his passiveness is the same postflop, fold the flop.
If villain is more aggressive postflop I'd consider raising. Calling looking for a free showdown is the worst option imho, there are too many draws around.

Sometimes I play it like this just to get a feel for how often and how big he's following up on the turn. People are so FoS that I float a lot of flops. That said, a fold is prudent.

I definitely use my position here.
I raise flop
I check turn
Depending on turn and river cards, I usually call river anything up to half pot and fold to anything more.
This is my line against unknowns, I adjust the line accordingly to diff kinds of players.

I would raise the flop to $16.
What Q can he limp with then call the big preflop raise? KQ / QJ maybe, maybe not. Unless he's really passive I'd expect AQ to raise 1st. QQ? Unlikely, surely a preflop reraise.
If he's trying to buy the pot he may reasonably assume that you're likely to raise the flop with AQ; once you flat call the 3 is a safe card and he can take a second shot at it.
I reckon your likely to be ahead in the hand.
